Abbie Olson has Joined Grand County Rural Health Network’s Team

Jul 8, 2021 | GCRHN Staff

Abbie began working with the Rural Health Network as a care coordinator in May of 2021. Prior to moving to Grand County she spent eight years serving the elderly, blind, and disabled population within the Denver Metro’s Long Term Care Medicaid program; connecting members to services and resources. As a Single-Entry Point case manager, she was part of a team advocating for members of the Colorado Choice Transition pilot program, supporting members of the community to transition from skilled nursing facilities to community living with the support of home and community-based services. This program allows members to live in the least restrictive home of their choice and is member driven.

Also while living in Denver, she spent volunteer time supporting A Little Something, a non-profit organization empowering refugee women living in the metro area through sales of handmade crafts and jewelry.

Originally from western Nebraska, Abbie received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Abbie is looking forward to this new chapter serving and advocating for the residents of Grand and Jackson Counties.

Abbie, we’re glad to have you as part of our team to help our community members to thrive and be healthy!
